The Goods Shed, Canterbury CT2 8AN : 01227 459153 Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays this restaurant has consistenly delivered great locally sourced food. Set in a farmers' market it uses these ingredients to great effect.

The Three Mariners, Oare, Faversham ME13 0QA : 01795 533633 This little pub, a decent walk from here, is trying very hard and delivering a good menu. We've eaten there a couple of times, like the owners and were impressed by the food. There's an excellent £10 walker's lunch menu.

Reads Restaurant, Faversham ME13 8XE : 01795 533344 The restaurant with the most imposing pedigree in the area. Michelin starred, highly rate in the GFG and  guaranteed to deliver a wow-factor. Food is excellent. www.reads.com shows you why. But I have only eaten there once ~ I cannot afford it.
