The original, imposing Victorian back bar dominates the room itself. It's a classic styled interior. We have reinstated the dividing screens. We hope to have the snob screens replaced eventually.

The bar is open midday until eleven every evening. We shut at ten thirty on Sundays of course.

Food is not available in the bar. Nor is there a television. Or a juke box. Or background music. 

But there is a fine bar billiard table which is proving very popular!

But our pride is in our cask beer. We've regularly featured in the CamRA Good Beer Guide since we've been here. Our house favourite is Shepherd Neame's Master Brew (3.7%abv) and we usually keep one other; currently Late Red (4.5%abv). Of course we also have lager, cider and Guinness.

Please be warned. We do not stock shots or alcopops. We're not that sort of pub. Should you wish it there is a Wetherspoons 200yds down the road. And its cheaper.
